Section Fifty-Two

When Langdon arrived at the final destination, he saw a van. The van had the Hassassin and the fourth Cardinal in it. Langdon new he had to be careful, and sneaky to try and stop the Hassassin.

Langdon had a chance to kill the Hassassin and save the Cardinal, but he tried to get where he had Vittoria hidden out of him, and he lost his chance. The Cardinal was stripped of his clothing, and branded with the word water as an ambigram on his chest. He was tied in ropes, and pushed into a fountain where the van was parked beside. Langdon and the Hassassin had an intense battle, but Langdon was unsuccessful in stopping the Hassassin. The Hassassin had Langdon pinned under the water, luckily, Langdon had found an air pump to keep himself alive. He had faked a death, and the Hassassin finally left. Langdon shot to the surface quickly for more air, and to try to find the last place on the Path of Illumination. The only place left to find now was the ancient hide away of the brotherhood.

Langdon struggled to figure out the last clue, but his knowledge of symbology helped him greatly, and he knew where he had to go.
