As they came around the corner to their next destination, they saw a girl screaming in horror. When they finally realized what was going on, they realized that there was a man, stumbling around in agony struggling to breath. He then collapsed to the ground and stopped breathing. At this, Vittoria tried to give him CPR to bring him back, but when she did, blood started spewing out of two holes just beneath his rib cage. When they looked to see why this was happening, they saw that his lungs had been punctured, and that he had been suffocating. Also, when they looked at his chest, they saw an ambigram of air branded into his flesh. Once again, they were too late.
Once again the team of the Swiss Guard cleaned up the mess which was created by the Hassassin. This time, they realized that the reporters from BBC had been broadcasting this event live.
After cleaning up, Vittoria and Langdon once again, searched for the next marker on the Path of Illumination. After much searching, they finally knew where the next killing was going to take place, and they were on their way.
